our founder

I'm an estimator with 20 years in the construction industry. Every tender and estimate went the same way: measure in one program, copy the quantities into a spreadsheet, build the quote in a third, then restart the process when revisions came out.

TakeoffHQ is the tool I wanted. The marks on the drawing are the quantities, the quantities are the estimate, and the estimate is the quote. Change one and the rest follow.

Heights and levels turn the takeoff into a model. It's a quick way to check nothing is missing, and builders like being sent a link they can spin around. Every floor lines up into one building, clashes between the trades you pick are flagged, and share links never show your rates.

How a job goes

    Drop in the whole PDF set. It reads the title blocks and files each sheet by number, revision and discipline.

    Measure your scope

    Work through the sheets with the takeoff tools. Anything you can't measure yet goes on a To Take list so it isn't forgotten.

    Price and send

    Rates go on in the estimate. Export a PDF quote for the builder, with a 3D link if it helps.

Questions people ask

Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in Chrome, Edge or Safari on a Mac or PC, and on an iPad for site work.
Is there a free trial?
No. You can open the sample job above without signing up, and if you subscribe and it's not right for you, your first month is refunded.
What drawings does it take?
PDFs. Upload the whole tender set at once and it files them for you. You can add site photos too.
Who can see my rates?
Only you and your team. Your data is kept in Australia. Links you send to a builder show the drawings and the 3D, and never your rates.
Can I get my numbers out?
Yes. Quotes export to PDF, and quantities and the estimate export to Excel and CSV.
